Benelux Bio Pack

The people behind the paper

A Workshop of Makers, Not a Warehouse

Studio developing plant-based packaging concepts in Belgium

Our studio grew out of a simple frustration shared by many small producers: sustainable packaging was either impossibly expensive, locked behind mass-market minimums, or so plain it stripped the personality from carefully made products. We assembled a small, opinionated team of packaging engineers, material scientists and brand designers who had spent years inside the Benelux craft community, and we set out to fix exactly that. Today we work shoulder to shoulder with roasters, cider presses, distillers and specialty grocers who want packaging with conscience and character in equal measure, treating every commission as a collaboration rather than a transaction.

We operate from a base in Ottignies-Louvain-la-Neuve, connected to a trusted network of regional converters, fibre mills, printers and hauliers. That proximity lets us coordinate dependable supply across Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg on timelines that suit craft volumes rather than industrial runs. Every material we recommend is chosen for traceability, certification and a clear end-of-life pathway, whether that means industrial composting, home composting or clean paper recycling. We would rather specify one genuinely honest material than a dozen that merely look green on a spec sheet, and we are happy to explain the reasoning behind every recommendation we make.

Just as importantly, we treat education as part of the deliverable. We help your team understand how bio-based materials behave in humidity, cold storage and transit, how to guide customers toward correct disposal, and how to talk about sustainability without overstating it. Through hands-on workshops, plain-language documentation and ongoing consultation, we make sure the move to compostable packaging feels supported at every step and grows naturally alongside your brand. Our ambition is simple: to make responsible packaging feel like the obvious, joyful choice for the makers who give the Benelux craft scene its flavour.
